South Korea passes 300,000 wearable device users milestone

South Korea has passed the milestone of 300,000 wearable telecommunications device users at end-October, Yonhap news agency reports, citing data compiled by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning. The number of wearable telecommunication device users grew 90.5 times over the past year, mainly boosted by the increasing adoption of smartwatches. South Korea ended October with 320,692 wearable device users, compared to 240,000 in July this year, and 3,542 users in October 2014.
