South Korea to boost investments in IoT technologies

South Korea's Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will invest KRW 37 billion from 2015 in the development of core technologies in the Internet of Things (IoT) segment, reports Yonhap News Agency. The investment will also be oriented to the development of micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) sensor chips as well as broadband sensing devices, according to the report. Meanwhile, the private sector will invest KRW 12.3 billion. The government will also boost the training of specialists in IoT technologies. Government officials noted that
