South Korea to fund IoT, AI R&D, startups in 2017

South Korea's Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning has announced it will support strategic industries in 2017. The ministry selected 10 sectors, including the IoT and artificial intelligence which are expected to generate business opportunities and profits in the future, Yonhap news agency reports. The ministry plans to invest a total of KRW 127.1 billion won (approximately USD 106.7) to power research and development (R&D) in the selected sectors.
