South Korea to invest KRW 37.5 bln in 'convergence technology' in 2019

South Korea plans to invest KRW 37.5 billion (approximately USD 33.6 million) this year in the development of "convergence technology" in the fields of robotics, biology and AI, Yonhap news agency reports, citing a government statement. The Ministry of Science and ICT has announced it finalized the scale of various projects to secure core technologies that augment human strength and ability, such as artificial limbs and robotic arms.
