Southern Africa PC and tablet market grows 20% in H1

Southern Africa's personal computing devices (PCD) market, which comprises desktops, notebooks and tablets, recorded year-on-year (YoY) growth of 20.1 percent in the first half of 2021, according to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC). This was despite global stock supply problems caused by a shortage of components and chipsets. Total shipments to Southern Africa (such as South Africa, Botswana and Namibia) increased to 1.46 million in H1.
