Spain backs Barcelona's offer to host MWC until 2023

The Spanish government has issued a decree to confirm its support of Barcelona's offer to continue hosting the Mobile World Congress (MWC) for another five years when the current contract with the GSMA expires in 2018. The decree approved by the cabinet of ministers ratifies agreements reached in relation to the current deal for Barcelona to be the Mobile World Capital as well as the MWC host city until 2023. The 2015 edition of MWC was the tenth to be held in Barcelona, attracting over 93,000 visitors from 200 countries and featuring some 2,000 exhibiting companies. According to the GSMA,
