Spain delays 2.6 GHz spectrum auction until January - report

Spain is set to delay auctions for frequencies in the 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands until January, with the winning bidders announced in March, reports business daily Expansion. The industry ministry was due to launch a tender for a 10 Mhz block of frequencies in the 2.6 GHz band and a 20 MHz block in the 3.5 GHz band by the end of the year but the Spanish general elections to be held on 20 December have delayed the plan.
