Spain e-commerce revenues up 11% to EUR 16.3 bln in 2014

Thursday 12 November 2015 | 10:12 CET | News
Overall revenues for the Spanish B2C e-commerce sector in 2014 were EUR 16.26 billion, according to a study conducted by Spain's national observatory for telecommunications and the information society (ONTSI). The figure represents an 11.3 percent increase on the 2013 results, slightly down on the 18 percent growth rate posted the previous year, and was due above all to the higher number of internet users, which grew by 3.2 percent to 29.9 million, or 76.1 percent of the population. The average amount spent per consumer in turn increased by 11.4 percent to EUR 876, said the report.
