Spain hits 9.9 mln broadband lines above 30 Mbps in Q1

There were nearly 10 million active fixed broadband connections of 30 Mbps and over in Spain at the end of the first quarter of 2018, according to a report by communications regulator CNMC. The number of active fixed broadband connections hit 14.6 million on 31 March, of which 9.9 million provided speeds over 30 Mbps, some 1.8 million more than 12 months previously. The CNMC added that 43 percent of the 30 Mbps-plus lines had a contracted speed of 100 Mbps and over.
