Spain improves process to cancel mobile portability requests

Tuesday 30 May 2017 | 11:43 CET | News
Spain's communications regulator CNMC has announced a series of new measures designed to standardise the practices of operators in portability procedures. The watchdog said it had been forced to take action and upgrade the code of good practice signed by most Spanish mobile operators in 2014 due to great disparity in the procedures implemented when a user asks to cancel a portability request. As a result, starting on 20 November 2017 operators will be required to abide by a series of new obligations.
