Spain introduces fixed-line porting in one day

Spanish regulator CMT has announced that local number portability (LNP) in one working day will come into effect on 11 November. The procedure that allows users to change their fixed-line operator previously took a maximum of five working days, but all of the major operators have agreed to bring that down to one. However, users wishing to change their fixed line and broadband operator at the same time will need to wait somewhat longer in view of the coordinated work involved to continue providing broadband access.
