Spain ports record 633,616 mobile lines in January

Spain lost 246,973 mobile lines and datacards in January 2013, ending the month with a total mobile base of 52.69 million users, down by 4.8 percent over the same month of 2012, according to a report by Spanish regulator CMT. The MVNOs added nearly 179,370 net lines in January, Yoigo saw 85,340 net additions, while Orange shed 50,930 subscribers, Movistar lost 243,130 customers, and Vodafone shed 217,630 users in the month.
