Spain ports record 721,484 fixed, mobile numbers in March

Spain lost around 15,334 mobile lines in March, bringing the total mobile base to 54.99 million, up by 4.7 percent over the same month of 2010, according to the monthly report by Spanish regulator CMT. The MVNOs added 101,530 net lines in March, Yoigo had 84,960 net additions, and Orange added 12,490 new users. Vodafone shed nearly 154,240 customers, while Movistar also lost some 60,070 users in the period. The M2M sector went up by 19.9 percent over the same period last year, to over 2.32 million lines. The growth of the M2M sector brings the total number of mobile lines to over 57.32
