Spain sheds 41,892 mobile lines in February

Spain lost around 41,892 mobile lines in February, bringing the total mobile base to 55.01 million, up by 5.2 percent over the same month of 2010, according to the monthly report by Spanish regulator CMT. Over the last three months, Yoigo won 51.19 percent of the total new additions, the MVNOs 37.25 percent, Orange 35.21 percent, while Vodafone registered a negative 15.03 percent and Movistar also saw a negative 8.62 percent in the period. Mobile penetration reached 117 lines per 100 inhabitants, versus 114.1 in February 2010. The M2M sector went up by4.8 percent over the same period last
