Spain sheds over 3 million prepay lines in 4 years

Friday 7 June 2019 | 15:02 CET | News
Spain has lost more than 3 million prepay lines over the past four years due above all to the popularity of convergent packages, according to a report from regulator CNMC. The country ended February 2019 with a total of 53.3 million lines, including 42.4 million postpay lines and 10.9 million prepay lines, the latter shedding more than 170,000 lines in February alone. There were 14.1 million prepay lines in February 2019 compared to 36.3 million lines of the postpay variety.
