Spain watchdog cuts cost of Telefonica indirect fibre service

Wednesday 26 May 2021 | 09:09 CET | News
Spanish regulator CNMC has decided to cut the cost of Telefonica's indirect fibre rates in its latest review, opening the way for alternative operators to reduce their prices. As a result, the current PAI (indirect access point) cost will fall by 21.2 percent this year, followed by an additional 11.7 percent in 2022. A total of 2.7 million of the country's 11.8 million active fibre lines are regulated by the CNMC.
