Spain watchdog launches public consultation into online ad market

Spain's communications regulator CNMC has launched a public consultation into the country's online advertising market. The aim is to assess the competitive implications of a highly disruptive sector and possible situations of market power, said the watchdog, which will subsequently publish a study with its conclusions. All interested stakeholders including digital platforms (search engines, social networks or content aggregators whose primary source of revenue is online advertising), advertisers, agencies, regulators, consumers and other experts are invited to submit their views by 24 May.
