Spain's CNMC fines Telefonica for breaching porting rules

Spanish telecommunications regulator CNMC has fined Telefonica and five other resellers a total of EUR 236,000 for breaching rules governing mobile number portability. Specifically, the regulator accused Telefonica of breaching conditions regarding the grant of rights to use numbering resources included in numbering plans as well as the Technical Specifications on Portability. The five resellers fined by the CNMC are Ocean's Network, Royal Telecom, Agencia Notarial de Certificación (ANCERT), Air Digital and Smart Group Soluciones Integrales.
