Spain's Guardia Civil blocks access to 23 pirate sites

Spain's Guardia Civil announced that it blocked access to 23 websites distributing pirated cultural content in an ongoing operation called Cascada. In a statement, the law enforcement agency said the administrators of the blocked sites were based in Argentina but that 80 percent of the traffic originated in Spain. The site administrators used different methods to avoid the closure of the platforms and were able to reactivate blocked websites within a few hours but the Guardia Civil insisted that it had now taken measures to ensure the total blockage of the sites and the removal of all shared
