Spain's Masmovil overtakes Euskaltel in fixed line customers

Spanish operator Masmovil has overtaken regional operator Euskaltel in fixed line customers to become the country's fourth largest operator in the fixed as well as the mobile segment, reports El Economista, citing CNMC figures. In April, Masmovil increased its fixed customer base to 689,279 compared to Euskaltel's 611,910, having more than tripled its customers numbers from around 220,000 in April 2017. Market leaders Telefonica, Orange and Vodafone had 5.93 million, 3.96 million and 3.34 million fixed line customers respectively at the end of April.
