Spain's Masmovil to waive excess data fees, lower speed

Wednesday 28 March 2018 | 09:27 CET | News
Spanish operator Masmovil has announced that it will no longer apply automatic charges for excess data consumed by postpay subscribers but will reduce speeds to 16Kbps so that customers can continue using basic services. Customers can continue surfing at their contracted speed once they passed their monthly limit by acquiring extra bundles, including 500MB for EUR 5 or 1GB for EUR 8.50. The new excess data conditions will be applied to postpay plans starting 01 May, with prepay customers having to continue paying for extra data bundles once they reach their limit.
