Spain's Telecable to automatically charge for excess data

Thursday 4 October 2018 | 08:57 CET | News
Spanish cable operator Telecable, operating mainly in Asturias, announced that it will begin applying automatic charges for excess data consumed by subscribers on 22 October. Rather than simply reducing speeds once customers reach their limit, the operator will apply its Mas Megas service, costing EUR 2.95 for each 500MB bundle, a maximum of 3 times a month. However, the company clarified that the service can be deactivated via the customer service app.
