Spanish operator Yoigo, a MasMovil brand, is about to launch its first IoT device and tariff in the shape of a smartwatch for children, reports Voz Populi. The wearable device is called Pingonaut and comes with GPS so that it can be programmed to notify parents if the child leaves a specified area. Children can also call up to 5 numbers via the smartwatch, which can be used throughout the EU and whose battery lasts up to 4 days, said the report. The Pingonaut costs EUR 99 for the device itself and EUR 4.50 a month for the corresponding IoT tariff.
