Spaniards remain leading European instant messaging users

The popularity of instant messaging (IM) apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram in Spain has again been confirmed by a study indicating that Spaniards are Europe's leading IM users and those who exchange fewest SMS. A report published by Kantar using October 2015 data revealed that 57 percent of Spaniards used IM apps on a daily basis, followed by Dutch and Italian users with 50 percent. By contrast, on 11 percent and 16 percent of Czech and Greek users use messaging apps every day.
