Spanish broadband user base growth slows in July

Spain added 336,402 mobile lines in July, bringing the total number to 53.17 million, up by 2.2 percent over the same month of 2009, according to the monthly report by Spanish regulator CMT. Over the last three months, Movistar won 47.51 percent of the total new additions, Yoigo 38.76 percent, Orange 11.57 percent, while the MVNOs attracted 11.48 percent of the overall mobile adds, and Vodafone had a negative mobile adds balance of 9.31 percent. Mobile penetration reached 113.7 lines per 100 inhabitants, versus 112.7 in July 2009. The M2M sector went up by 21.0 percent over the same period
