Spanish court to examine legality of Movistar price rise

Spanish consumer protection association FACUA has announced that a Madrid mercantile court has declared admissible the appeal it lodged against Telefonica's "illegal" move to increase the price of its Movistar Fusion offers in June. When it lodged the appeal the association said it was acting in the general interests of around 4 million affected users by criticising the "unfair nature" of Telefonica's price hikes. According to FACUA, the operator increased the monthly tariffs of its Movistar Fusion convergent packages by around EUR 5 per month even though it promised to maintain the same
