Spanish court upholds decision to close 9 DTT channels

The Contentious-Administrative Chamber of Spain's Supreme Court has handed down a new judgment upholding the 18 December decision to close nine DTT channels. The affected broadcasters Net TV, Veo TV, Mediaset and Atresmedia lodged an appeal against the court's earlier decision, which has now been dismissed by the Supreme Court, which argued that the appeal was based on arguments already dismissed at previous stages in the proceedings and that the closure of the nine channels must be enforced by 06 May on the grounds that the award of the DTT licences in 2010 without a public tender was
