Spanish operators signed up a further 86,328 fibre to the home (FTTH) subscribers in March to increase the number of active connections in the country to 10.5 million, according to the latest monthly update from regulator CNMC. Fibre lines rose by around 1.5 million in the year to end of March, more than offsetting a 1.1 million decline in DSL lines to 2.3 million, including 63,359 in the month, said the watchdog. HFC lines fell by 5,164 to 2.2 million, bringing the fixed broadband total to 15.3 million compared to 14.9 million a year earlier.
