Spanish IPTV service Yomvi launches offline downloads

Telefonica has announced that users of its IPTV service Yomvi can now download some of their favourite programmes for offline viewing. The feature is currently available for Movistar+ subscribers with iOS and Android-based devices, who can download the chosen movie or episode over Wi-Fi and are then given 30 days to watch the content offline without using up any data. Although the download-to-go option isn't available for Yomvi's entire VoD catalogue, some 7,000 titles do offer the possibility, with more to be added over time. Although Yomvi's main rival Netflix doesn't yet offer offline
