Spanish m-commerce platform launches Yaap money app

Yaap, the Spanish mobile commerce joint venture between CaixaBank, Santander and Telefonica, has launched a new mobile app, dubbed 'Yaap money', to facilitate the secure and instant transfer of money between users' mobile phones. The stated aim of the app's creators is to make sending or requesting money from friends and family as easy as sending them a message. Users of the app will not need to know any bank details, just the mobile phone number, Facebook username or Twitter username of the person they would like to exchange money with. According to the creators, the app will make paying
