Spanish online spend up over 28% to EUR 8.5 bln in Q4

The Spanish e-commerce market soared by 28.1 percent year on year to EUR 8.5 billion in the final quarter of 2017, according to the latest data released by Spain's communications regulator CNMC. The number of transactions topped 154 million, up 31.5 percent year on year, with the travel agency and tour operator sector leading the growth in value terms in the October to December 2017 period, accounting for 11.3 percent of total revenues, followed by the air transport (7.5%), clothing (7.1%), entertainment (4.4%) and betting (4.3%) sectors.
