Spanish operators add 39,000 mobile lines in December - CNMC

Spanish mobile telephony connections increased by 38,634 lines in December after a fall of 43,633 lines the previous month to reach a total of 50.65 million, 0.1 percent more than the year-earlier figure. The latest monthly update published by telecoms regulator CNMC revealed that a 127,646 increase in the number of postpaid lines in December compensated for a 89,012 fall in prepay lines. A total of 480,638 lines were ported in December, some 7.8 percent less than a year ago. All leading operators apart from Movistar (Telefonica) posted monthly gains, with Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo adding
