Spanish startup Spotahome raises USD 40m in Series B funding

Spanish rental property listing service Spotahome has raised USD 40 million in a series B funding round led by Kleiner Perkins, reports Bloomberg. Madrid-based Spotahome was founded in 2014 and has around 50,000 properties listed in 33 European cities, including London, Berlin, Barcelona and Rome. It allows users to rent a flat, house, room or student residence instantly via the corresponding app or website, charging a percentage of the total contract value for the rental, split evenly between tenant and landlord.
