Spark expands CAT-M1 IoT network to 99% of New Zealand population

Monday 11 October 2021 | 09:11 CET | News
Spark has extended its rural IoT network. The upgrade of 263 Rural Connectivity Group cell sites to Spark CAT-M1 IoT technology means Kiwi-owned EV charging company Evnex can now install and real-time monitor EV chargers in more rural towns, homes and isolated parts of the country. Spark also reports that the extension of its CAT-M1 IoT network means it now reaches over 99 percent of the overall New Zealand population, and 94 percent of the rural New Zealand population.
