Thursday 26 May 2016 | 23:43 CET | News
Satellite communications and network service provider SpeedCast International has won a contract from sports marketing and events company OC Sport to provide two-way satellite communications for the fifteen yachts competing in the Transat AG2R La Mondiale race. The 3,800 nautical mile sailing race will start in Concarneau, France, and will end in Saint Bartholomew in the Caribbean. Each of the yachts was equipped Clipway, a proprietary software solution which enables each team to store and forward video footage of the race to the race headquarters and production team.
