Spending on cloud services, infrastructure passes USD 150 bln milestone in H1 - study

Operator and vendor revenues on cloud services and infrastructure has for the first time passed USD 150 billion for a six-month period, according the latest numbers from Synergy Research Group. Revenues in the first half of this year jumped 24 percent from the year before, pushed by leaders Microsoft, Amazon/AWS, Dell EMC, Cisco, HPE and Google. Other major players included Salesforce, Adobe, VMware, IBM, Digital Realty, Equinix and Rackspace. Together, all of these companies accounted for well over half of all cloud related revenues.
