Splunk takes chief digital officer from Apple

Splunk has named Jake Loomis its new chief digital officer, a newly created position. Loomis served as engineering director, Internet Services Operations, at Apple and before that worked 14 year at Yahoo. At Splunk, he will oversee the digital transformation strategy, with a focus IT and Information Security, with CIO Declan Morris and CISO Joel Fulton reporting to him. Loomis will report to CEO Doug Merritt.
