Sportitalia relaunches as one channel on DTT

Monday 2 June 2014 | 14:57 CET | News
Italian sports TV channel Sporttalia is to officially resume transmissions at 8pm on 02 June after a 6-month absence due to financial and management difficulties. The three Sportitalia channels (Sportitalia, Sportitalia 2 and Sportitalia 24) will now air as a single DTT channel owned by the Prima TV joint venture of Egyptian magnate Nauguib Sawiris and French-Tunisian financier Tarak Ben Ammar and Micri Communications of TV presenter Michele Criscitiello. Micri will produce the 24-hour programming, over 16 hours of which will be live. A new app and on demand services are also being developed.
