Spotify to start new USD 1 billion share buyback programme

Spotify has announced a new USD 1 billion share buyback programme, to start in the third quarter of this year. Under the programme, the company is authorized to repurchase up to 10 million shares. That authorization will expire on 21 April 2026. Spotify noted that the programme will be executed in-line with its capital allocation strategy, which will continue to prioritize "aggressive investments" to grow the business.
