Sprint may owe USD 4.5 mln to laid off call centre workers

Sprint may owe up to USD 4.5 million in back pay to 1,440 workers laid off in March without the 60 days' notice required by federal and state laws. The workers may also be eligible for Sprint employee benefits through 17 may under the laws. Sprint announced the call centre layoffs on 18 March, and said the jobs would end 25 march, with pay through 8 April.
