SPTC, MTN mobile dispute referred to Geneva

The issues between Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) and MTN have been referred to Geneva, 'where specialists in the telecommunications industry are based', the Swazi Observer reported. The arbitration was a ruling of the Supreme Court after SPTC, a major shareholder in MTN, launched a mobile service called 'One'. Connections of new customers to 'One' were put on hold following the ruling of the Supreme Court. The latest developments on the arbitration were revealed by ICT Minister Winnie Nxumalo while responding to a question by Senator Themba Msibi about the position
