SPTC re-launches fixed wireless service

Swaziland Post and Telecommunication Corporation (SPTC) announced new three new devices to deliver its wireless local loop service based on Wimax. Acting Managing Director Petros Dlamini said the board and management had unanimously decided that the future of the company and its ability to fulfill its mandate lies in the wireless service, the Times reported. The re-launch of the service, designed to serve as a fixed line for residential customers, follows the end of its legal dispute with MTN Swaziland and the withdrawal of its previous fixed wireless service.
