SPTC switches off ONE mobile service

Thursday 9 August 2012 | 11:57 CET | News
The Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) has begun switching off its ONE mobile service, the Swazi Times reported. This follows confirmation of a ruling by the International Court of Arbitration (ICA). Swazi MTN took SPTC to court for breaching their joint venture agreement by introducing a mobile component to its services that would compete with Swazi MTN. The Supreme Court ruled in favour of Swazi MTN and the ICA upheld the Supreme Court ruling, and that has now been endorsed by the ICA in Europe.
