SPTC to lose SZL 210.8 mln over shutdown of mobile service

The Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) will lose a total investment of SZL 210.8 million if the shutdown of its One mobile phones, Fixedfones and dongles becomes permanent. The services were shut down a month ago following a ruling by the International Court of Arbitration. According to the Times, financial statements from SPTC show the exact amount the corporation stands to lose is SZL 210.8 million This amount includes SZL 78.3 million in defunct gadgets, SZL 501,552 in unusable airtime and SZL 21.83 million in brand and marketing expenditure, along with other costs
