Square introduces monthly installments payment option

Mobile card readers maker Square moved into the consumer lending space by launching a new payment option that allows small business to sell products from USD 250 to USD 10,000 in monthly installments, TheVerge.com writes. Called Square Installments, the payment method allows payments to be made over 3, 6, and 12 months. Annual percentage rates will vary from 0 to 24 percent APR. The new option is available now in 22 US cities for businesses using Square, and customers have to be pre-approved before they can start financing. All loans are issued by Square Capital.
