Square mPOS introduced in Australia

Square partnered Australian payments company Cuscal to sell its point of sale platform in Australia, its 4th market after the US, Canada and Japan. After being plugged into the standard headset jack of a smartphone or tablet, the reader will make it possible for anyone in Australia to accept card payments. The Square Reader works with the Square Register app and is compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices. Card information is encrypted at the moment of swipe and Square doesn't store data on a device after a payment has been processed. The product and app are offered at no cost but
