SRG prepares DVB-T switch-off in 2019

Sunday 9 September 2018 | 11:44 CET | News
Swiss public broadcaster SRG will switch-off DVB-T broadcasting from 2019 for cost-saving reasons, reported CEtoday.ch. SRG currently operates 200 transmitters for DVB-T. However, only 1.9 percent households in Switzerland receive DVB-T, mostly for TV reception on a second or third device. Around 64,000 households receiving DVB-T as a primary source of TV will be affected by the switch-off.
