SSNF says local network rules hamper rural broadband spread

The Swedish metropolitan networks association SSNf said that outmoded regulations are hampering rural broadband expansion. Rules for municipal works prevent local grids from being able to provide broadband across the local council's border, even to homes or businesses just a few metres from the fibre cable. It said a survey among SSNf members found that two out of three municipal local networks consider that this stipulation obstructs broadband development.
