ST introduces single chip with NFC, eSIM and eSE functions

French-Italian chipmaker STMicroelectronics (ST) has unveiled a single chip combining NFC, eSIM and Secure Element (eSE) functions supported by a certified third-party software ecosystem for all customer profiles worldwide. The ST54J system-on-chip (SoC) for mobile and IoT devices is designed to simplify mobile payments and e-ticketing transactions, as well as enabling more convenient remote mobile provisioning to support multiple operator subscriptions.
