ST revenue falls to USD 1.83 billion in fourth quarter

STMicroelectronics reported USD 1.83 billion of revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014, down on USD 2.02 billion in the year-earlier period. The gross margin improved to 33.8 percent from 32.9 percent. ST made a USD 38 million operating profit in its latest quarter, compared to a USD 11 million operating loss a year earlier, and a USD 43 million net profit, versus a USD 36 million net loss in the fourth quarter of 2013. The embedded processing solutions segment had USD 660 million of revenue in the fourth quarter, compared to USD 663 million a year earlier. In all of 2014, net revenue fell
